First Initial Idea

I like a wide variety of music so I found it hard to think of songs which I could produce a music video for. I love the song 'So Sick - Ne-Yo.' I really like this song as its calm but also the words mean something and it means that you would be aiming it at a scepcific audience. You could aim it at people who have had break ups, people who are Ne-Yo fans and people who can relate to the lyrics.

I'm not sure whether it would be hard or easy to do a music video to but I think that it has potential. You could film it in a bedroom with a young looking man singing. It could start with him sat on his bed and he could start the singing there. He needs to look rather upset. I think it would then be cool to cross cut between the girl which he is singing about and him. This then shows the audience both sides.

I think that we also need him walking somewhere, like down a busy road singing. We would need extras as they could be looking at him and we could then see their reactions. I think that this would be a good song to produce one for.





In the actual video it never shows a full picture of Ne-Yo and the girl who he is singing about. It's set in a ski resort which maybe relates to their time together. I would make it different to this and would want to make the song popular again. Ne-Yo is still going as a successful artists and is doing very well.

If I choose to use this song then obviously I need to develop my idea but at the moment that is what I have come up with.

Ne-Yo is fairly mainstream so a lot of people have heard about him but he isn't an artists who is obsessed with fame. He dresses very normally but is known for wearing a suit in his videos aswell as a hat which we always see him in.
